This recent series of paintings represent my long-held belief that both the art of photography and painting are not competitive but are a singular expression of an inspired visual dialogue with the world. A brief moment of insight acquires an emotional resonance when stretched over the long process of translation into brushwork, color and design.

Too Much Ain’t Enough, oil on canvas: 29″ x 38″, $2200.

Follow Me, oil on canvas, $1800.
These particular painted images derive from early photographs taken in the late 60’s and 70’s.
They take on new meaning and possibilities as monochromatic celebrations of time
and space and the human condition.
